This Carmike Cinema either opened in 2001 or 2002. I found two different dates. The theatre features digital projection and sound and stadium seating. I did look at a couple photos of the lobby and the marble like tile on the floors would make me a little skeptical in slipping on a spill. The theatre plays first run attractions.

The theater must be older than 2001, Chuck. The first time I went to this theater was when my mother took me to see “Harriet the Spy” the day it came out. “Harriet the Spy” came out in 1996.
Been to this theater many times over the years. Sadly, it is all Digital Cinema, as of at least October 2006, but the place is clean and comfortable. The auditoriums are very ornate and attractive…something very unusual for a theater of this era. The theater is tucked away and rather hard to find. Aside from the drive in, this place is Fort Collins' best choice to see a first run Hollywood movie.
TonyH as I mention in the header, I was not sure of the date it opened, I found those two different dates for the opening. The way you describe the interior of this Carmike it is most different than most of their theatres. They are mostly plain and typical shoe box. Glad for you that you have a good cinema in you area.
