Springs Cinema

This small independently owned and operated theatre was opened in the late-1960’s or early-1970. It was originally a single screen house that later had an additional auditorium and second screen added. A local bank took over the building shortly after it closed in the 1990’s and uses it for employee training.

I remember going to the owner of the old Avalon Theatre that had closed in Pass Christian to see about buying its booth equipment. I was told it had already been sold to the owner of the Springs Cinema and all they had left for sale were the seats. The Springs Cinema opened shortly afterwards. The Springs Cinema was a very nice and well maintained theatre that its owner took pride in.
