The Kino Capitol opened 30th December 1926 with 1,000 seats in its single auditorium. It was equipped with a Welt theatre pipe organ.

In 1984 it was sub-divided into a 5-screen cinema, in 2009 operating with 6-screens. Seating is provided for 339, 61, 55, 77, 96 and 229.
