The Electroscope was a very early cinema, possibly operating out of a former shop prior to 1909. It was re-named Coronet Electric theatre and was compuslorily closed in February 1909 by the Council for safety reasons. Obviously, it would not have come up to the requirements demanded by the Cinematograph Licencing Act in 1910.
