Not to be confused with the Astor Theatre of 1920-1929 on Wabasha Street. This Astor Theatre opened in 1929, with seating listed at 596. The Astor Theatre operated as a movie theatre into the 1970’s.
In 1982 it was a retail outlet called the House of Statures(?). For a while it was a sewing and alteration business and the building went up for sale. Looking at the building in recent years there was no hint that it was once a movie theatre. It was demolished around 2012.
