From what I remember as a kid, it was originally the local porno house. Later showed second run stuff when it couldn’t compete with video and PSU student groups that showed porn on campus ( I am not kidding. I first saw CALIGULA at the PSU Forum building in the 80’s). Quickly became a hobby shop after that.
