The Texas Theater was a Robb &
Rowley theater which opened originally as the Strand Theater, later became the Rio Theater until at least 1950. It closed as the Texas Theater in the early-1950’s.

A view of downtown Del Rio and the Texas Theater.
The book “The Old Movie Theatres of Texas” states the this theatre was operated by United Artists from the mid-1960’s through closing in the late-1960’s. The took over the operations of the theatre from Rowley United Theatres in the mid-1960’s.
