Cinemark Palace 20

Opened in 2000, Muvico’s ornate "themed" megaplexes continued with this replacement for the Movies at Town Center (a mile away). Stately columns, marble surfacing, and finely detailed ceiling work lead the way to all-stadium-seating audtioriums. Photos of 1920s movie palaces and moviemaking decorate the hallways.

Muvico Palace 20 was also among the first to offer premium balcony seating in six "Premier" auditoriums, with dinner and bar service also available upstairs aimed at an over-age-21 audience (with occasional exceptions). Digital cinema was also adopted early on, primarily for 3D features at first.

Financial difficulties prompted Muvico’s sale of four megaplexes, including the Palace 20, to Cinemark in 2009.
