The original Haven Theater was operating on W. Cherokee Street prior to 1941, and had 340 seats.
This Haven Theater opened on August 29, 1950. It is currently being used for live performances, but is in need of renovation.

When this theatre opened in 1950 it was operated by Gulf States Theatres and seating capacity was lited at that time to be 796. I had stored a link to a photo by Martin Mc Caffreey of the Haven Theatre but somehow I deleted the link. He has a great photo of the theaatre and it looks to be in pretty good shape from the photo,
