Originally a paint and wallpaper store, the Meville Theatre opened on February 10th of 1995, with “Dumb & Dumber”, starring Jim Carrey.

The largest volume of ticket sales it had came from the movie "Titanic" in spring of 1998.

According to their official website, the Melville still uses real butter on their popcorn.
