The Ionia Drive-In opened on June 18, 1953. The ozoner was listed with a car capacity of 300 with a single screen. It was operated by Wisper & Wetsman. The drive-in closed sometime around 1985. It has since been demolished. The address given is on S. State Street which is also M-66.
