M-78 opens third screen 5/25/77

The M-78 opened as a single screen in 1969, later converted to a twin and then a triplex.

Car capacity was listed at 2,096. The drive in was operated by National Amusements from 1969 until it’s closing in 1992.

This drive-in is listed in the 1975 IMPA with a capacity for 1,000 cars but for some reason it isn’t listed in 1980.

The M-78 did not open as a single screen. It was a twin from day one, screen three opened in 1977. More at http://michigandriveins.com/m7856.asp
