Opened in the late-1990’s as the third AMC-operated multiplex that was in or near the Meridian Mall. It was originally referred to as the Outer 6 because at the time of its opening, the inside-the-mall Meridian East 4 was still operating.
AMC closed the Meridian 6 on September 5, 2011. It was taken over by Celebration! Cinema and reopened on December 10, 2012 as Studio C.

The Meridian Outer 6 was actually open in the 1990s, as it was one of my favorites when I lived in the Lansing area. Sorry to hear that it’s closed, I hope another theater company will take AMC’s place.

I will second shany94 that this was open prior to 2000, as it was already open when I moved to town in 1999.
It closed for good on Labor Day this year. I took a few photos of it the day before its last:
