The Dixie Drive-In opened on June 4, 1948 with Ted Donaldson in “Red Stallion”. It was still the Dixie Drive-In in 1955 when it was operated by Jack Phillips & Cooperative Ct. No time line when the name was changed to Starlite Drive-In.
Listed as having a car capacity of 275 with one screen. Listed as closed in September 1966. They show two owners, Joseph Weisberg and Dixie Drive-In Theatre Corp.

Love looking at the current and Historic Aerials of this DI. It’s a driving range now, but the remnants of two other drive-ins are on the other side of the street just south of this one, including one that was a twin. Three drive-ins all within two tenths of a mile of each other.
Also opened with a colour cartoon(not named), and some short subjects(not named).
