The Odeon Theatre was situated in the private housing estate G-102, "City One Plaza, in Sha Tin in the New Territories.
Its 609-seat auditorium was on the ground floor of a shopping mall.
On 13th January, 1989, a policeman committed suicide in the male toilet of the theatre.
It opened to business on 17th December, 1988 with a Japanese cartoon, and showed first run Chinese dialect films until its closure on 1st May 1998.
