The air-conditioned Luna Park Cinema was the first cinema to be built in North Point on the Hong Kong Island. It was a small cinema in the Luna Park which opened to business on 22nd December, 1949. The opening date of the cinema was 30th September 1950, and showed selected films until its closure on 16th June 1954.

An advertisement published by the South China Morning Post on 23rd November 1952 claimed the cinema to be "the nicest little theatre in town." Several residential buildings were built on the site of the former Luna Park.
