Opened in 1931 as the Dickinson Theatre. The name was then changed to the Kimo Theatre and in 1935 to the Ritz Theatre. Operated by Commonwealth Amusement until at least 1950.

In 1954 the Ritz Theatre was redecorated and renamed the Town Theatre. The building is currently used as a storage area for a floor covering store.
