The building with a dome was a cinema at one time. During the sixties it was an amusement arcade, remember them? It was subsequently an antiques shop, Dome Antiques, run by Chris Farlowe the singer. It was the earliest purpose built cinema in the area I believe. The Screen on the Green is another Islington cinema a few doors away. Curiously neither the Screen, formerly the Rex , nor another nearby cinema ,the Rio in Roseberry avenue which closed in the sixties is mentioned on this site.
