The S&S Cinemas opened in the early 1970’s in the Clinton Plaza Shopping Center under Charlotte based Stewart and Everett Theatres.
During the late 1970’s or early 1980’s, Martin Theatres acquired the Cinema 1 & 2, until 1986 when Carmike began operations of the cinema until its closing in the mid-1990’s.
The theatre is located in the Clinton Plaza Shopping Center off Clinton Boulevard at the intersections of U.S. 421 and U.S. 701 and N.C. 24 Bypass.
