This Capitol Theatre opened in 1923. One of a couple theatres in Milwaukee with the Capitol name. The architect for the Capitol Theatre was Robert Messmer. It was a single balcony theatre, and was equipped with a Kilgen pipe organ. The 2nd West Allis Post Office was designed into the rear of the building and remained there until 1930.
The Capitol Theatre closed in 1967 and has since been converted to retail.
