Opened as the Century Theatre and changed names when Atlas Theatres took over operations. Seating was listed at 365

The Atlas Theatre closed in 1966 and has since been demolished. Any further information on the Atlas/Century would be appreciated.

Boxoffice of May 28, 1949, said that the Atlas Theatre in Milwaukee was being remodeled, and would have a new floor, plumbing, heating and air conditioning, and a new front, among other changes. The architect for the project was Myles Belongia.

About ten days ago In Milwaukee, ground glass was thrown into two projectors of the independent Atlas theatre, 2342 N. Third street causing about $1500 damage.

Shuouldn’t this be listed as Century, with Atlas as the previous name?
