Opening in 1996, the IMAX Discovery Theatre located on the Broadway at the Beach is a marvel of architecture and wonder. This 400-seat cinema is the first theater to be placed along the Grand Strand and the first in the state of South Carolina, making it one of Myrtle Beach’s biggest attractions.

The IMAX Discovery Theatre is among the world’s most immersive moviegoing experience specializing in showing features and documentaries within the IMAX experience. It is equipped for 3D presentations.
