The Augusta Family Theatre of course during its days was the home to many Vaudeville acts and silent movies. At the time before Hollywood existed, North Augusta, S.C. actually had a film studio and made one reelers that would play in Augusta.

Located at 641 Broad street in Augusta, Georgia it has long been gone. It was not too far from the Imperial Theatre, or Wells Theatre as it was known by in the early-1900’s.
