The Tower Drive-In had twin screens, fairly large, concessions located between screens. It was located around the 6000 block of South 1st Street, where Sam’s Wholesale is now. I went there alot as a teenager dating.

David, look at the map, see if the red dot is the spot the drive-in was at?? I only ask because I see Sam’s is at 5301! The only address I could find was when it opened which was West Highway 80 and later Highway 8 ???

Held 320 autos?

Open 1947-1980?

Made into 2 screens in 1952?

Owned by Video Independent Theaters from 1970-1980?

Anyone have a better address, more info, or photos?

It was located where Sams is today. Next door (east) was the Sands Bowling Alley and Sands Motel.
