Located in central Manila on Rizal Avenue at the corner of Katubusan Street. The Universal Theatre was opened in 1954. It is a large building and at the top of the facade was a ‘V’ sign with the theatre’s named. At the apex of the ‘V’ was a large globe of the world.

Seating in the auditorium is located in orchesta and balcony levels. The screen was 50 feet wide at opening.

The building still stands, but is unused apart from retail units beside the entrance.
