The town of Texarkana was proud of the Leo Theatre. It was a Joy’s Theatres, Inc theatre and seemed to get all the A- product. The Leo Theatre had two other downtown screens to share product. Joy’s Theatres, Inc. Joy N.Houck, president.

The Saenger AKA Paramount Theatre was the larger theatre in Texarkana with seating originally listed at 1,600 and later reduced to just under 1,000. This theatre is still in operation as a live venue. The Leo was a small theatre compared to the Saenger.
