Star Theatre

A small early silent-movie theatre that was opened February 28, 1914, and managed by a Mr. B. Boden. It was near the later Crown Theatre. In the 1940’s the space was a tavern and today all the properties along this stretch of 16th Street have been cleared for green space.

The first ad (very small) for this theatre appeared on February 28th, 1914.
