The Lineville Theater opened sometime in the 1930’s and has been closed for several decades. It is currently being renovated.

According to a Brief Historical of Lineville, AL. by 1940 the town population was up to 1,300 and Lineville got its first movie theatre, the Lineville. The theatre was located at 88840 Main St. (Highway 9) Lineville, AL. 36266
