Seems like even Southern small cities have a local porno theatre. Playing at the Dream Adult Theatre for well over ten weeks was "Deep Throat" and "Devil In Miss Jones" with the tag"Legal uncut Version" whatever that means.
Still it was Albany GA that had "Carnal Knowledge" decision reach the U.S.Supreme Court, and it was R-rated.

Mike, could you verify the address, that would put the theatre right in the heart of a residential area.
I will double check the ad.Must be a new residential area?
Chuck 1231,there is a large ad in the Albany Herald,Jan.1 1975 on the Dream Adult Theatre,the address is what i have above; unless that one ad had a typo.
The quote legal and uncut film, was censored by making a second print of the original showing maybe a fourth of each frame that had sexual contact. Saw the original in Norfolk, Va and then with another lady friend at the Gateway Twin in Eliz. City, NC. Rather funny that the optically censored version, if I remember correctly, was shown after the uncensored print had already been shown at the Gateway Twin—we walked out shortly after finding out that we had been taken.
The address in the header is incorrect, 1st Avenue runs East & West and in its entirety it is a residential street. MNike are you sure this theatre was located in Albany and not a near by town or city?
