Sibley Theatre

The Sibley Theatre was opened November 28, 1934. On January 5, 1967 the theatre management gives out a family pass every week. Makes you wonder how many smaller town theatres did this. The winning family that week got to see "Born Free". With a policy like that, better book a lot of family movies.

When you go to Map, it sends you to New Ulm, 20 miles away, not at all helpful.

Open ~1935-~1990? Anyone care to verify the exact dates?

Need an address, more info and photos.

A “75 years ago” feature in the December 2, 2009, issue of the Winthrop News said that the Sibley Theatre had opened on November 28, 1934.

In 1964, the January 13 issue of Boxoffice said that Lou Kosek had reopened his Sibley Theatre for the winter, with a six-days-a-week policy and two changes of program a week.
