On March 29, 1942 it reopened and was operated by Paramount Pictures Inc. through their subsidiary Tracy Barham. It was last operated by Intermountain Theatres when it closed in 1961.

Was there two separate Strand theatres? The first one was renamed from Ellen on May 19th, 1917 and closed in 1935 and the 2nd strand opened on March 29th, 1942 and closed in 1952.
