Fire insurance maps of Kaw circa 1924 show theatres at 114 W. 5th & 505 Main. Names aren’t listed, though the 114 W. 5th theatre shows the presence of a stage.

Conklin Opera House opened in 1901. Was later converted to a movie house and renamed New Kaw Cinema. Since 1976 the entire town of Kaw has been on the bottom of a lake.
