This theater was located at Nine Mile Road & John R Road, next to the infamous Time Zone arcade. In later years, it became known for showing double features of low budget and independent movies.

This was listed as a four screen in 2006. Farmer Jacks Market was expanded and took in the site of the former Cinema.

This address puts it right in the middle of the two streets. Anyone have a better address, what’s on the site now, or at least which corner was it on?

The shopping center where the Northgate was located has since been completely remodeled. The plaza was/is right on the corner of 9 Mile and John R but theater faced out to John R. There is a picture here…

The theater was long gone by 2006, btw. It closed sometime in the 1980’s.
