Located in the east Melbourne suburb of Forest Hill. The Forest Hill Cinema was built and operated by an independent operator, and opened on 1st June 1968 with Otto Preminger’s “Hurry Sundown”. It was closed in 1989, when the Hoyts Forest Hill 10 opened in the Chase Shopping Centre across the road.
Last used as a nightclub, in March 2011, it was empty and unused. In 2012, it was in use as a dance studio.
