Located in Melbourne city centre. The Dendy Cinema opened in 1978, with an art house policy.
In 1986 it was re-named Chinatown Cinema. In 1993 it was re-named Lumiere Cinema, still continuing to screen foreign & independent films. It was closed in around 2007, and has been converted into offices.
