The Lyric Theatre is listed in the 1914-1915 edition of American Motion Picture Directory, although the address is given as 611 Clinton Avenue N. Theatre programs show that this theatre was showing double features from 1929 through the early-1930’s.

The Lyric Theatre was still operating as a movie theatre in 1950. In on May 24, 1963 it went over to screening adult movies as the Lyric Art Theatre.

May 24th, 1963 grand opening ad as Lyric Art in the photo section. It was the first adult cinema in Rochester.
