This opened on November 11th, 1938 as the Paradise theatre, which was taken over by the Odeon chain in 1941. It reopened as the Coronet on July 8th, 1964. How much of this theater was “incorporated” into the Granville 7? This site shows some architectural detail from the Coronet. I would like to see a photo of the Granville as it looks today.

The above picture is great. I am amazed all the verticals were still there in 1970. New York got rid of most of them by the late 50’s. A shame they lit up the street so well.

This theatre was incorporated into the Cineplex Odeon Granville 7 which opened around 1987 and is still operating. It’s one of only 2 left on the old theatre row (the other is Famous Players Capitol 6)
