Pix Theatre

The Pix Theatre was opened in early-1942 with Gene Tierney in “The Shanghai Gesture”.

Around early-1947, it was renamed Capital Theatre, but was soon closed.

Anyone know what the exact address is or at least which corner the Pix was on?

It would be nice to have photos, both inside and out and more info.

The Pix Theater opened on 11/11/1942

The Pix Theater closed on 6-1/1947. The announced that they were closing for the summer.

On 9/28/1947, The theater was renamed and opened as The Capital

The Capital closed for good on 5/9/1948

The theatre was locaated at 2551 Huntington Ave. The theatre was demolished quite some time back. That entire block is park of the Justice Center.
