Grant Theatre in Cairo, WV

Small, rural theatre with interior Art Deco design. Used for vaudeville and movies, the Grant Theatre was opened in April 1940. It closed as a theatre in the 1960’s.

At some point it was mostly gutted. It currently houses a grocery/bulk food store in a small part of the former auditorium. The rest of auditorium still exists and is currently being renovated as a live performance venue.
