IMAX 3D Theater

Opened around 1995, this is part of the Tennessee Aquarium and is a block away from the aquarium which is located in downtown Chattanooga.

The screen is 89 feet wide, 66 feet tall (six stories high).

The theater was one of the first official “Certified Giant Screen” theaters in the world, “Bigger. Bolder. Better”. Certified by the Giant Screen Theater Association which requires its certified theaters to have screens:70 feet wide or 3,100 square feet for flat screens or 60 feet in diameter for domes and place all seating within one screen width of screen plane.
