Mexico

Located in the Montmartre district of Paris, close-by the famed Gaumont Palace. The Cine Mexico was operating prior to 1965, possibly operating since the mid-to-late-1930’s. Seating was provided in orchestra and balcony levels, although it was quite a small cinema. In the early-1980’s, it was converted into a triple screen cinema, which catered for a gay male audience. It had a well known ‘backroom’.

The Mexico was closed by 1993. The building today is in use as Corcoran’s Irish Pub.
