The Delux Theatre was opened about 1949, and operated at least into the 1960’s. After closing as a theater, the Streamline Modern building served as a restaurant and then a bingo hall, but it has now been converted into a church.
The building is recognizable as a former theater by its small stage house, and some of the original interior decor has survived. Vintage photos show the unconventional spelling “Delux” on the marquee.
