Located just to the south of the Washington Square Mall which was built in 1974. The Washington Square Cinemas was built around 1975. It was still operating in 1992.
Since the early-2000’s, it has been used as a Halloween themed haunted house.

Thanks for posting this! AFAIK this was built shortly after the Washington Square Mall opened. I was only a few years old at the time but I do remember a big gala celebrating its opening with some amusement park rides and vendors and whatnot. I used to get my hair cut at the barber in Progress Plaza when I’d notice all the commotion across the street. There were projector malfunctions numerous times at the cinema. I almost walked out of Goldeneye when they finally fixed it. I walked completely out of Alien 3 and had to negotiate to get my money back.
Only had 4 screens, not 6
