Russell Theater Opens

A neighborhood second-run theatre on the southside of Columbus,Ohio. The original movie theatre was named the Innis Theatre and was listed in the Film Daily Yearbook in 1927. The grand opening of the Russell Theatre was on Sunday, November 23, 1941. The Russell Theatre closed on July 23, 1961, according to theColumbus Dispatch."

Today, the site is a vacant lot.
