I remember seeing “Hoosiers” at the Pix in the summer of 1987. if I remember correctly, they had a curved screen, most likely a holdover from the days of Cinemascope.

This theater just dodged a bullet – according to Lapeer’s fire chief,a fire that gutted some adjacent buildings caused minor smoke and water damage to the Pix: http://www.myfoxdetroit.com/story/23950812/multi-building-fire-in-lapeers-downtown-historic-district

Hello :) Could someone please email with schedule information for the Pix and any other fun events in the Lapeer area? I’ve been trying to find info online on what’s going on around here and I’m having no luck. My hubby and I surprise each other once a month with a date nite that’s kept totally secret. I am also wondering how to get a schedule for music on the courthouse lawn, water tower events, and kiwanis caper dramas. I have MS and have lost my mobility, but I just got my scooter and I’m ready to roll when warm weather finally hits. Every aspect of our lives has changed this year and my health has become very poor. My husband just keeps telling me that I’m beautiful. I’m so blessed. Twelve years of marriage and we are still best friends. We love drama, music of all types, and light-hearted fun… We love to pack a picnic basket and enjoy just being together. Any ideas are welcome… Romance lives! L Parsons.
