The Grand Theatre opened around 1917 in the Petone district of Lower Hutt. Seating was provided in stalls and circle levels. It was given an Art Deco style makeover in the 1930’s. By 1946 it was part of the Kerridge Theatres chain, and in the 1950’s Kerridge-Odeon. The Grand Theatre closed in the early-1960’s. The building has been converted into apartments.
