I have no idea where the dates for this theater were taken frombut the fact of the matter is that the Lincoln was still opoen in 1954 as can be clearly seen by the ad from the Youngstown Vindicator for April 25, 1954.

Dates came from the Motion Picture Yearbook.

Here’s an item from the December 4, 1915, issue of The Moving Picture World:

“YOUNGSTOWN, O. — A new fireproof moving picture theater, the Lincoln, located on Himrod avenue, between Murdock and Front streets, was recently opened to the public.”
Google Maps says the theater was between Murdock and Fruit, not Front, Streets.

You’re absolutely right Joe. Back in 1963 A group bought the building to turn into a church and I had the opportunity to check out the projection booth, and while all the equipment was long gone, there were a bunch of old trailers and I was able to salvage them. All the seats had been removed, so it was just a shell. I never followed up to see if the church had ever opened.
