Florence Theatre

The Florence Theatre was built in 1920. It seated 450 and was still listed in the 1950’s. It later became a burlesque theatre known as the New Paris Theatre, then a legitimate theatre known as the Pioneer Square Annex Theatre. The building is still standing but vacant in 2022.

After many years as an all-night grind house, the Florence Theatre operated as a burlesque house called the New Paris Theatre in the 1970s, when it was frequently raided by the police, and then as a legitimate house called the Pioneer Square Annex Theatre during the 1980s.
