The Savoy Theatre was open prior to 1925. It seated 1,000 and was no longer listed in 1930. The site is now occupied by the Civic Theatre.

The location listed is wrong by about three blocks. The Savoy was at the NW corner of 3rd Ave & C Street, where the ugly San Diego Civic Theater now stands. The Civic Theater is already outdated, showing the short life of modern architecture.
