The Rialto Theater was named after the Rialto in New York. Originally a 1914 theater, the Moveum was renamed the Rialto, but the name was applied to new construction at its current site grand opening On April 30, 1937. Originally it had 612 seats, but some were removed to accomodate the wider screen movies of the 1950s.
The theater is in a small resort area, and often played two movies a week, with a different one on Friday and Saturday.

The Rialto Theatre is listed twice in the directory, seems like one should be deleted.

Thanks. That link works. I have a similar problem linking to certain sites when I isolate a photo. The link will work fine for me but not for other people.
From the 1940s a photo postcard image of the Rialto in Aitkin.
